Nalini served for several years as the Director of the Indian Classical Music Ensemble, College of Music, Florida State University. During this period she formed a fusion band called “AGNI” with very gifted artists who were open to learning the intricacies of Indian music. Nalini with her group of gifted artists went on to create another magical musical extravaganza featuring eight of her original compositions! This group performed to packed halls at the Music Halls in the Florida State University and also represented the University at the Southeastern chapter for ethnomusicology at Tulane University, New Orleans.
Nalini’s with her talented artists went on to record and release “Maya” in 2000. This album was recorded by Marty Mets, Anderson Counsil Sound, Lighthouse Point, Florida. Nalini reedited, remixed this album and released it in 2013 as “Soothing Embers”, fusion music with Tribal Records.
